  We use
Scotchgard™ because dirt and stains cling to untreated
carpet and quickly become embedded in the fibers. It creates a
powerful invisible shield around your carpet's fibers to keep dirt
from lodging within the carpet. The same technology that keeps foods
from sticking to your pots and pans prevents dirt and grime from
"sticking" to your carpet.
Scotchgard ™ carpet protector
helps keep your carpets cleaner, brighter and fresher.

Benefits
Carpets last longer – It is a well-documented fact that soil can
cause premature wear to carpets. Traffic lanes can become a
permanent eyesore that can’t be effectively cleaned and the carpet
is discarded before it is really worn out. This is a costly and
unnecessary mistake. Scotchgard™ along with proper maintenance of the
carpet can prevent this premature loss of value.
Prevents permanent stains – Permanent stains such as wine, Kool-Aid,
Popsicle and many more can be prevented from damaging carpet and
fabric. When stains become permanent, an entire room or sometimes
house full of carpet can be ruined. Scotchgard™ protector is cheap
insurance.
Carpet looks better and stays clean longer – If spills and soils
can’t penetrate, the carpet will look cleaner longer, obviously a
tremendous benefit.
Carpet cleans better - the two levels of Scotchgard™ protection (listed
below) hold liquid and dry soils at bay. Spot cleaning is easy and
more effective. Professional cleaning produces much better results.
How does Scotchgard™ protector work? Surface Tension - The unique chemical structure of Scotchgard™ Protector
creates increased surface tension at the surface of the fiber. Any
liquid that spills will have a difficult time penetrating the
surface of the fiber. Most spills will simply bead up on the carpet
or fabric, staying on the surface. If spills can’t penetrate the
surface it can’t cause a stain and it is easy to clean up.
Coating Action – Scotchgard™ protectors have unparalleled penetration
action, allowing them to coat the entire fiber. This coating action
is the second level of defense against spills and soils. Sometimes
when a spill happens from high above the carpet or is forced past
the surface by pressure such as walking on it, the liquid can
overcome the surface tension and move towards the base of the
carpet. The carpet is still protected however. The coat of
Scotchgard™
won’t allow the spill to penetrate into the fiber itself. Clean up
is still a snap.
Filling a warranty claim?
One of the first things your carpet retailer will ask you when
filling a warranty claim
is if you have had regular scheduled cleanings from a certified
technician and was your carpet’s protector reapplied. Obviously they
know how important regular scheduled professional cleaning and
protector are. Don’t void your warranty!
